Mazda Brings the 2024 Product Line-Up to the North

Mazda has come back to Yorkshire for a product range day as part of a series of events around the UK over the next few weeks.

Heading to the popular Bowcliffe Hall location on the sprawling Bramham estate, near Leeds, Mazda brought a full suite of its 2024 offerings for a driving day around West Yorkshire. The impressive Blackburn Wing — named for its shape, and not a section of the main house — formed the hub for the day’s activities.

The range included more than 20 cars for the attendees, covering the entire range from the marque’s smallest to (currently) largest vehicles, with many recently launched variants and others which have received updates.

At the smallest end of the scale there was the Mazda 2 and the updated hybrid version of the car which is mechanically identical to the hybrid Toyota Yaris but with a refreshed front and rear to distinguish it from its sibling.

The CX-60 was also present, in diesel and PHEV forms, along with the recently added MX-30 REV. This battery-electric vehicle now sports a rotary engine as a range-extender, making it the first car equipped with a rotary in the UK since the RX-8 was discontinued in 2012.

Also available were examples of the updated Mazda 3, in hatchback and saloon forms, the CX-30 and CX-5 crossovers, and the 2024 update to the Mazda MX-5 in both convertible and RF targa models as the world’s most popular sports car moves into its 35th anniversary year.

Along with the large range of vehicles, Mazda UK’s managing director, Jeremy Thomson gave a presentation on Mazda’s progress, while he and sales director Laura Brailey — recently appointed to the post, after 19 years at Mazda UK — were also available for interview.
