George Loveridge Joins the Northern Group of Motoring Writers

The Northern Group’s recent recruitment drive has seen the membership increase again, with one of our youngest new faces since the group’s inception in 1973: George Loveridge.

Classic car enthusiast George is 20 years old — meaning he single-handedly brings the Group’s average age down by a little more than 18 months — and edits his own general motoring website “Driving Around“. The site hosts road test reviews and event reports, as well as some of his own classic car activities.

Having learned to drive in an Austin 7 (in common with, but somewhat less in-era than, many of our members), George also regularly drives his first car — a Triumph Herald — and a Jaguar XJ6.

As a freelance photographer and writer, George also contributes to other sites including Travel News Update and Wheels Alive, and adds to the Group’s wide range of musical talents as he also works as a guitar teacher!

You may well recognise the name, as George’s father is fellow NGMW member Guy Loveridge. It’s probably little surprise that he’s been bitten by the motoring and classic car bug.

Although his membership was confirmed a little too late to join us on the recent Bentley factory tour and ordinary general meeting, we’ll hopefully see him at many Group events over the coming months.
