Naveed Hussain Joins the Northern Group

Following the Northern Group of Motoring Writers’ 2024 Annual General Meeting, we’re pleased to be able to confirm that Naveed Hussain has been accepted as our newest member.

Naveed joins us having recently taken up the position of commercial content writer position at Bauer Media Group, writing for CAR and Parkers titles and covering automotive product testing.

He brings a certain scientific precision to that role, having only headed down the path into motoring content creation since 2020. Previously Naveed studied for a BEng. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bradford, then achieved a PhD in Chemical and Process Engineering at the University of Leeds.

We’d have to check the history books to see if he’s the only doctor we’ve ever had in the Group, but he’s definitely the only one right now!

Like so many of us, the events of 2020 (and onwards) prompted a change of career, with Naveed switching to pursue his passion for cars. He started a YouTube channel, called Naveed4Speed, and wrote for carwow and Hotcars too.

Along with his YouTube channel and work at Bauer, Naveed also currently contributes reviews, features, and opinion to autoevolution.

One of two members admitted at the Matfen Hall AGM, Naveed is also the second-youngest member on our books — with George Loveridge still holding the title of youngest for the forseeable future!
