Guy has been involved with events in the motoring world for over 30 years, including racing all around the UK having held a competition licence since 1993.

A former chairman of the Guild of Motoring Writers (2014-16), Guy published his first motoring book in 2000 and has written over a dozen since then. He’s also received the Guild’s Peugeot Motorsport Cup in 2015, and the Malcolm Jeel Award from the Society of Automotive Historians in Britain in 2019.

Somehow Guy also finds the time to commentate at motoring and motor racing events all over the country and is currently organiser of The Holme Moss Centenary events. He also presents television and radio programmes, and has appeared on Wheeler Dealers.
