Northern Group of Motoring Writers’ Christmas 2022 Newsletter
The final Northern Group of Motoring Writers’ Newsletter this year is now available and dropping into inboxes across the automotive industry.
Produced by our long-serving newsletter editor, David Whinyates, it’s a regular summary of some of the things our members have been up to — on- and off-piste — as well as both the Group’s and the PR industry’s comings and goings.
Our members contribute to the newsletters across the year, with all manner of items from events they might have been to both on-the-clock and in their private time, along with some general thoughts on aspects of the industry as things stand.
In the Christmas 2022 edition we hear from two of our newest members, Graham King and David Thomas, about how they came to be part of the group, as well as Andy Harris’s regular column as our chairman. Andy also reflects on his day out at the Hagerty Festival of the Unexceptional, which was eventful if not exceptional.
Malcolm Bobbitt and Guy Loveridge talk about some of their experiences with some classic cars, on the Lakeland Trials and London-Brighton Rally respectively, while Andrew Evans is at the opposite end of the automotive timeline in the digital world of automotive esports.
You’ll also be able to read pieces from Ben Quirk at the Lotus Eletre event at Manchester Airport’s Concorde Hangar, while Martin Ward headed to Thirsk to see the region’s leading Land Rover workshop, restoration, and upgrade specialist Twisted.
It’s certainly a jam-packed issue, and well worth digging into over some leftover turkey, brie, and cranberry sandwiches… You can read it via the link below, or from the Newsletters section of the site.
