Video: Goodwood Festival of Speed 2022 & Electric Avenue

While Goodwood is pretty far from the Northern Group’s patch (and we know this from experience!) plenty of NGMW members like to make the trek down for the two big events it hosts: The Revival, and The Festival of Speed.

Join Annabelle and Ben Quirk as they rattle through the highlights of this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, which celebrated the 50th anniversary of BMW’s M division and saw the fastest time ever set on the legendary hill climb, in this special video from the event.

Along with the sporting and historic affair, Goodwood — which has effectively become a full motor show — set aside a special section for the future: electric power.

Called “Electric Avenue”, this area of the site near the cricket pitch allowed manufacturers to present some of their electric vehicles and concepts.

The marquee hosts a selection of vehicles from mainstream brands like BMW and Kia, and new manufacturers you might not have previously heard of such as Lucid and Rivian. Then there’s wholly unexpected EV adopters, like Lotus with its Eletre.
