Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Opens Brand New Leeds Showroom
A flavour of Goodwood has come to the north, as Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and trusted dealer JCT600 have opened a brand-new showroom in Leeds.
The Yorkshire-headquartered dealer group joined the Rolls-Royce network in 2018, with a temporary location alongside its JCT600 Brooklands site in Wortley, Leeds. That became the core of a total redevelopment of the site, first opened in 1999, which began last summer.
Now complete, the site is home to dealerships for three of the most prestigious British brands as the Rolls-Royce centre is flanked by Aston Martin and Bentley locations — with the Aston Martin dealership the first in the UK to feature the brand’s new corporate identity.
The Rolls-Royce showroom is the largest of its type in Europe, and features a range of digital displays and “kinetic lighting” as you pass through the Pantheon-inspired doors. Each of the model lines — Cullinan, Ghost, Phantom, and Spectre — resides in its own, large space in the expansive area.
Sitting in the middle of the showroom is a seating space with a “Cabinet of Curiosities”. This display contains objects notable for their design, to help provide a creative spark for client commissions, as well as some items and books from the local area to reflect the showroom’s place in Yorkshire.
Arguably the most important area is the “Atelier”. Located at the rear of the showroom, this is the space where clients can see and compare all of the off-the-shelf customisation options — exterior paints, leathers, embroidery, veneers, and all manner of material samples — with the famous and customisable Rolls-Royce Starlight Headliner as a centrepiece. Of course, more individual options are also available.
Boris Weletzky, Rolls-Royce Motors Cars’ regional director for the UK, Europe, and Central Asia, commented:
The opening of this new space is a momentous occasion – it illustrates a bold and exciting step for the brand, bringing the essence of Goodwood to Yorkshire… It really captures the spirit of the marque and brings our visual identity to life, reaffirming our position as a leading House of Luxury.
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Leeds is now open, on the Ring Road Low Wortley just south-west of the city centre.
