Frederic is a National Union of Journalists (NUJ) -qualified journalist, and joined the Yorkshire Post in 1969. Ten years later he became motoring correspondent, and has received awards for both general and motoring features. He’s also a lapsed Gold Pass member of RoSPA’s advanced driver training — bad habits have crept in!

Having left full-time work in 2009, Frederic provides a fortnightly motoring page to the Yorkshire Post Saturday Magazine, and weekly to Scotland on Sunday where he is de facto motoring correspondent. You can find his reviews in traditional print, though some appear on the National World website.

Asked to join the NGMW sometime in the 1980s, Frederic served as chairman from 2007-2009. He now heads the membership committee.
